Arrowood students and staff collected nearly 2,000 books during a book drive this winter! They are sending 1,230 of these to start a school library at Bright Future Primary School in Malawi, Africa, and the remaining books with be donated locally.
In addition to collecting the books, students and staff worked to raise the money to ship them to The African Library Project warehouse in New Orleans, where they will then be shipped overseas. If the students met their goal of raising $400, Mr. Yost agreed to wear a wig. Needless to say, with an incentive like that, the students exceeded their goal by raising $570.
The students are incredibly excited for the students at Bright Future Primary to receive these books!
