Cox Elementary students squeaked -- or should we say squawked? -- out a narrow victory in the Spring Buccaneer Attendance Challenge, crediting their success to their much-coveted weekly "screaming chicken" award for classes with the highest attendance.
The final tally for attendance in March and April:
- Cox - 91.42%
- Tecumseh - 91.37%
- McKinley - 91.29%
- Arrowood - 90.52%
- Shawnee - 89.97%
A message from the top four attendance classrooms at Cox for the Challenge:
Congratulations on a close contest to ALL of the elementary buildings. We are so excited to see every elementary building at 90% attendance for the past two months, and we just know that students have reaped the benefits of being in class with us every day!
